Just Jared is one of the coolest celebrity bloggers out there and his write-up on Bonnie Dune’s performance at the Pinkberry Canada opening is huge publicity for the band.
Cory Monteith rocks out with his band,Bonnie Dune, at the grand opening of Pinkberry on Friday (July 22) in West Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
The 29-year-old Glee actor and his bandmates performed a six song set at the free concert and greeted fans after the show.
The day before, Cory tweeted, “Vancouver! having the time of my life chillin with @bonnie_dune and gearing up for a fun show.”
FYI: This is Canada’s first ever Pinkberry restaurant!

Q. How much hand in the production of your music have you had?
A. We’re actually not obligated or contracted with anybody right now except for our booking agent, so as far as anything creative goes it’s all us, we do it all together.
Q. Where do the inspirations for your lyrics and music come from?
A. Usually how we do our writing is I’ll come up with an idea or a simple melody, verse, or chorus type of thing and I’ll present it to the band and then everyone will kind of bring their own spin on what direction they think it should go in. From there that’s kind of how we mold the song, we kind of create it together. I can’t speak for the other guys about inspiration, but for me it’s really an outlet of creativity. It’s a way to get your mind off of everything else and for me it’s just about having a lot of fun and being creative and creating something that you like or appreciate and hopefully others will like. Really it’s just if I like the song than that’s all I really care about at first, and then if other people like it too that’s even better.
